"Chose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life." - Confucius

Lions and tigers and bears, and a potluck? You betcha! Add some fine tunes to that mix and you have Imelda's & Louie's Friday night retreat. We closed both stores early and shuttled (almost) our whole crew to see Ladysmith Black Mambazo & Los Lobos play at the zoo. We all whipped up our favorite dish to share potluck-style and were lucky enough to find a tiny spot in which to squeeze all 12 of us (no easy feat, I tell you what).

The true test of any potluck is what is left over. And in our case, very little (and this was before dessert)!

I feel blessed to have such a wonderful and fun-loving group of co-workers. Our diverse backgrounds, tastes, and styles blend harmoniously on and off the sales floor. Collectively we are musicians (or music fans), artists (or art aficionados), dog and cat lovers, runners, urban farmers, foodies (vegetarian, pescatarian, localvores, and meat-lovers alike), and of course, fashionistas!

Maria, Katie, Sandra, Allegra, Alejandra and Erin all sharing in the fun!

I cannot wait until the next staff retreat, as this was a huge success and a lot of fun! Hopefully we can do another retreat before our annual Holiday party. Next time though, I am going to make them all dance with Pam and me!
